Evidence of Spring

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
-William Wordsworth

Pillows by Skylah Ginette

Pillows
Beautious flowers,
Lords of the ugly,
Strangers in the land
Of This.
Nothing has changed
Yet it's not the same,
The sky is pink today.
-Skylah Ginette

Blue Is Green by Skylah Ginette

Blue Is Green
Blue is green.
Or is it blue?
Pink is never Yellow.
Black is black is black
And orange is dark in the darkness.

Prisoner by Skylah Ginette

Prisoner
Here I lay,
Dying and broken.
Prisoner of the fables
Of many slanderous tounges.
My time has come,
Like so many before me
All done to death by those they loved.
There is no hope
Of escape
From my prison
For I am imprisoned
Within mine own heart
-Skylah Ginette
